Training of all types and levels is available through the Training area on the British Eventing website, and what’s more, all rider training is open to everyone, whether you are a Member of BE or not.

It does help if you are a BE Member though – BE Full Members get a 10% discount at the point of booking.

More courses are being added all the time, so if there’s nothing suitable in the list above, do keep checking at www.britisheventing.com/training. There may even be suitable training in a neighbouring region – why not take a look?

APRIL 2012 update

Updated Guidelines on the Securing down of Portable Cross Country Fences and fitting of Reverse Pins April 2012

There has recently been a serious incident at a BRC cross country course where the portable fence rotated and brought the horse and rider down. Fortunately neither horse nor rider was seriously injured. On investigation it was found the portable fence was not secured properly and the organiser of the event had not checked the fences. All cross country fences must be inspected before the competition starts and checked to ensure any portable fence is correctly secured in accordance with the BE Standards April 2011. With the Olympic and Paralympic Games fast approaching, sport has rarely had a higher profile and Sport England wants to build on this by creating a lasting legacy.

Sport England, in partnership with Ipsos MORI, is conducting its fourth annual sport satisfaction survey which aims to understand people’s sporting experiences across the country. With your help, Sport England and British Equestrian will gain a greater understanding of what motivates people to play sport, the challenges participants face and what can be done to improve sport for you.

By taking part in the survey, you will help British Equestrian become more responsive to your needs and do more to encourage new participants.
