As an Area we have taken the decision to postpone Sunday’s Area Showjumping Qualifers.
This is precautionary measure against the spread of Equine Flu to ensure the health and safety of all those involved.
We have been advised of a confirm case in Somerset and the decision made today was not made lightly but in the best interest of our Members

A decision regard the FOTH competition on 16th/17th has not yet been made – again further details to be release as soon as available.
Please find information about a new Showing Championships taking place at Addington Manor in Nov 2019, for Riding Club members, organised by Nigel Hollings, which will cover the South of England.

Affiliation for this show is now open, so Riding Clubs can register and will be limited to the first 60 Riding Clubs that join – any Riding Club south of Birmingham will be classed as Southern and eligible
Affiliation is completely free – the only criteria is that;
*The Club must hold at least 3 shows
*The Club must have Members
*The Club must be able to send a representative for at least 8 classes – competitors can compete in multiple classes.

We have a South West date which is being held at Taunton and Bridgwater College in Cannington. Very nice venue and easy to get to

I would appreciate volunteers from clubs for pole picking. We need 4 per hour per arena over the day, so Saturday 10.30 – 15.30 1 arena and on Saturday 8.30 – 15.30 with 2 arenas.
If people can contact me 07798844087 to organise a slot. Perhaps groups of club members could do it together. 2 hour slots would be lovely or less if necessary.

Due to the extremely high volume of entries already (200) for the Eventers challenge qualifiers at Bicton on November 25th
We will only be able to process the QUALIFYING Teams.
If you haven’t entered your team please contact Karen on 07798844087 this evening or tomorrow and register interest. All non qualifying teams will be refunded in full. There cannot be an area only class now this year.
Obviously with daylight hours and it being a new competition no one could predict this amazing level of support, which we are very grateful for. Sid and Otter will do their upmost to fit in all Qualifiers.
