IMPORTANT NOTICE TO ALL CLUBS

IMPORTANT REMINDER TO ALL CLUBS

Increased presence on the BHS / BRC Website

We recently sent out a mailing to you giving you the chance to update your details on our BHS website, in order to offer greater exposure for your Club. If you have not yet responded to this request and wish to do so, please could you send back your completed form ASAP? If you feel that your Club has not received this form, then please email Louise (copied into this email) and she can send another one out to you.

Invoices and 2015 Rule Books

In order to ensure you all receive your Rule Books and Invoices for next year promptly and to the correct recipient, we need you to confirm to us your Club Committee Officers. We have been sending out a list to all Clubs showing who we currently have as  the Committee, and asking for you to return this to us to confirm or update the roles (Areas 1-21 have already been sent out, Area 22 & 23 will be sent shortly). Until we receive this update, 2015 RULE BOOKS AND INVOICES WILL NOT BE SENT OUT as it is apparent that they often go to an incorrect contact. The 2015 Rule Book will be available on the BRC website for the start of the New Year, but we will not be sending out hard copies to Clubs until we know where to send them to. Rule Books will be sent out to the Chairmen and Invoices to the Treasurer, and emailed to the Chair, Secretary and Treasurer.

Therefore, if you have not already done so, please could you let us know an updated committee list ASAP?

If you have any queries about these requests for information, please call Louise on 02476 840 598 or email louise.nicholls@bhs.org.uk

Training at Sparsholt

BRC will be offering members the opportunity to train with World Class Trainers on Sunday 12 October at Sparsholt College. The day is specifically aimed at those competitors who lack the knowledge and confidence to enter a BRC Area Dressage Qualifier but would really like to reach that level. Members will receive training and get the chance to put what they have learnt into practice by riding a test and receiving feedback. You will also have access to BRC staff who will be able to answer rule queries and soothe any worries you may have.

Places are on a first come first served basis and applications close on Monday 29 September.

BRC FOTH Championships Refunds

BRC Equilibrium Products Festival of the Horse

Following the recent cancellation of the FOTH due to water logged ground the BRC staff and competitions committee fully investigated the re scheduling of all and parts of this Championship. At the Competitions Committee meeting held on 10 June the options were discussed and it was agreed by the Committee that the Championships would be cancelled and that no elements of the event would be rescheduled. This decision was made due to the difficulties of finding a suitable date, the financial implications, the effect that it could have on other championships should the events be combined and also the effect on future Championship qualifiers.

Subsequently 75% of Championship entry fees will be refunded. Refunds will be issued via cheque made payable to the payee of the original entry fee and posted to the name and address on the Championship entry form. It is envisaged that all refunds will be made by 31 July 2014. This refund is in accordance with rule G2.3 in the BRC Rulebook 2014.

Unfortunately it will not be possible to refund stabling fees, as per rule G9.2 of the BRC Rulebook 2014. The stable hire company will not be offering a refund to BRC for the stabling invoices which were required to be paid before the Championships. This is in accordance with the terms and conditions of the hire of the stables.

FOTH Championship Cancelled

BRC Equilibrium Products Festival of the Horse
31 May & 1 June 2014

It is with great disappointment that the competition planned for this weekend has been cancelled due to waterlogged ground. The BRC team and the team at Aston Le Walls have worked hard and tried to do everything possible to make the event happen, however the recent heavy rainfall and further rain forecast have left much of the ground underwater. It has not been possible to access the land to set up the temporary stables and build the infrastructure in preparation for the event.

A statement regarding any possible refund of Championship entry fees, following confirmation of the liabilities for the event, will be made after the next competitions committee meeting to be held on 10 June. Please refer to rule G2.3 in the BRC Rulebook 2014.
